Japanese people repaired broken pottery with Japanese lacquer which is usually mixed with gold, silver and etc.. The scar has been understood as “Keshiki” which is considered more beautiful and valued.
Please don’t misunderstand.
It’s possi…ble to use the pottery corrected by Japanese lacquer(=Urushi) in a meal.

“kintsukuroi” which restores by a traditional technique uses only something natural.
That’s rice, a wheat crop and urushi.
