完全に乾いた漆はかぶれることはありません。
乾いていない漆はアレルギー反応を起こしやすく、かぶれる場合があります。
私はかぶれやすい体質のため、素手での作業は極力控えて、
必ず手袋を着用し長袖で作業するようにしています。
もし漆が肌に付いた場合は、食用油でふき取り、その後石鹸でよく洗ってください。

しかし自然の接着剤である漆で修理することは、人工的、科学的なパテなどを使用するより　ずっと安心で無理がないのではないでしょうか。
かぶれない漆として釣り竿の塗装や修理用に「新うるし」といわれる合成漆が販売されていますが、こちらは漆ではありません。
口が触れる器には適さないと考え、私は本漆を使用しています。
自己責任において使用することをお勧めします。

Though Urushi contains a compound that can case a reaction similar to poison ivy, proper handling (gloves and long-sleeve shirt), and working in a well-ventilated area will prevent an allergic reaction.
When Japanese lacquer is attached to skin, please wipe off with cooking oil and wash well with soap after that.

Urushi is a natural material and does not contain toxic chemical additives.
No microwave and dishwashing machines for lacquerwares please.
Urushi should be used at your own risk.
If you are unsure of using a normal urushi, please check other listing for a low allergenic urushi.
